Introducing Jack McGivern: A new Loomie joins the SEO team

Jack is well versed in managing a variety of SEO campaigns for both UK and international businesses. Whether a business is looking to dive deep into improving their technical SEO, or even looking for a creative touch to bring their content to a wider audience, Jack is always eager to get stuck in.

Jack’s career so far

After graduating from UWE Bristol (Business and Economics), Jack soon became more interested in digital marketing and began to learn about SEO in his own time, before landing a digital marketing apprenticeship in 2019 at an SEO agency in Bristol. During this apprenticeship, he was given full responsibility over a range of clients spanning a variety of industries, while also studying and improving his skills.

After completing his apprenticeship, Jack then became an SEO manager at a digital marketing agency, focusing on private healthcare. This role allowed Jack to develop his skills, working for international B2B companies providing innovative medical products, while also working with the CEO and Marketing Director to create proposals for potential clients.

From here, Jack began to work in a freelance capacity for a large international company in the music industry, as well as the video game industry. This work had a heavy focus on technical SEO, while also allowing Jack to write reviews on products that he used. He also began to study for a course in SEO and PPC.

Taking SEO to new heights

Jack hopes to take his knowledge gained in technical SEO to new heights while working closely with the talented team here at Loom, in order to gain a better insight into the bigger picture of digital marketing and how SEO and PPC work closely together.

Hobbies & interests

Outside of work, Jack enjoys producing and recording music, and is currently looking to brush up on his piano and guitar skills to take his music to the next level. Jack also has a passion for creating cartoons and designs for clothing. In order to give his desk chair a break every now and then, he also enjoys taking trips in the van with his dog, skateboarding and shooting hoops at the star and garter.
