About Loom Digital
Loom Digital is an ambitious and growing B Corp-certified digital marketing agency with big plans for the next three years, and we’re looking for a Content Strategist to help us get there.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we execute a 3-year growth plan. Our client base is solid and varied, encompassing a diverse range of sectors, including both B2B and e-commerce.
As a content strategist, you’ll help build and maintain visibility for our clients across traditional search engines and AI platforms. You will audit web content and develop strategic content plans to achieve long-term objectives. You’ll work closely with our Content team, part of our Organic division, writing landing pages, product descriptions, blog posts and more to ensure our clients are visible wherever and however their audiences search.
While we prioritise human-written content for our clients, we’re curious about ways AI can help speed up some workflows. Part of your role will also involve experimenting with AI to improve the administrative or research side of content creation and ideation.
Key Responsibilities:
Content strategy & planning
- Develop and lead long-term content strategies that consider client goals, target audiences, search intent and brand positioning.
- Collaborate with our Organic team on larger website architecture and transformation projects.
- Conduct keyword and prompt research and competitor analysis across diverse sectors and niche markets.
- Build editorial calendars aligned with target audiences and user intent, map deliverables, and execute the overall strategy.
- Monitor organic performance, produce monthly reports and in-depth quarterly reports, analysing data to adjust the strategy and continuously build visibility.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry developments, taking note of new ideas and trends that we can apply to our Content services here at Loom.
Content creation & governance
- Create and optimise a mix of content for both B2B and B2C audiences, including blogs, eCommerce product descriptions, landing pages and page briefs.
- Dig deep into niche topics, taking technical or complex information and transforming your research into readable, valuable articles and landing pages that align with our clients’ brands.
- Audit and optimise both new and pre-existing content for SEO and GEO.
- Upload content to client websites, or liaise with clients to make sure that new content is uploaded in line with SEO best practices.
- Balance SEO/GEO and writing for web recommendations with clients’ messaging and TOV.
Stakeholder & client management
- Build trusted relationships with clients and help them understand the value of content & SEO.
- Secure buy-in from key client stakeholders by clearly communicating strategies and insights, becoming the go-to for their content, AI & SEO queries.
- Collaborate closely with the rest of our content team, technical SEO experts and the wider Loom team to deliver seamless, multi-channel campaigns.
About You:
You’ll bring a mix of strategic thinking and excellent copywriting skills. You’ll understand the role content can play in the digital marketing success of a business, and be able to analyse data as the basis of your strategies, ensuring your work is found by the right people.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience delivering successful content strategies, ideally for technical or niche industries.
- Strong writing and research skills, including long- and short-form, for both B2B and B2C audiences.
- Understanding of SEO and content best practices, and the ability to monitor performance.
- Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs or Advanced Web Rankings.
- Strong leadership skills and the confidence to own clients’ content strategies and, where applicable, organic service delivery.
- Attention to detail across all elements of work, especially when proofreading either internal or client content.
- Excellent communication and management abilities.
Desirable
- Agency experience (or experience managing multiple campaigns simultaneously).
- Curious about AI and its role in content creation.
