About Loom Digital

Loom Digital is an ambitious and growing B Corp-certified digital marketing agency with big plans for the next three years, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic content writer to help us get there.

You’ll ideally have digital marketing experience and have a strong portfolio of written work that you’re keen to expand. You’ll work closely with internal and client teams to develop landing pages, web page copy and other types of content alongside blogs, adding the level of depth and experience needed to rank in traditional search and AI answer engines.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we continue on an ambitious  3-year growth plan. Our client base is solid and varied, encompassing a diverse range of sectors, including both B2B and e-commerce. 

The role

Key responsibilities:

  • Creating and optimising a mix of content for both B2B and B2C audiences, including blogs, eCommerce product descriptions, landing pages and page briefs. 
  • Dig deep into niche topics, taking technical or complex information and transforming your research into readable, valuable articles and landing pages that align with our clients’ brands. 
  • Audit and optimise both new and pre-existing content for SEO & GEO (we’ll show you how to do this).
  • Create and lead content strategies with multiple content streams as you develop an understanding of client needs, organic strategy planning and execution. 
  • Build out editorial calendars that are relevant to target audiences and cater to user intent. 
  • Communicating with clients – including workshopping ideas, discussing feedback and updates on content production, and building strong client relationships.
  • Uploading content to client websites, or liaising with clients to make sure that new content is uploaded in line with SEO and GEO best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry developments, taking note of new ideas and trends that we can apply to our Content services here at Loom. 
  • Evolving your approach to content depending on the latest insights into organic SERPs and AI answer engines   

About You:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in content creation, copywriting and/or journalism, including publishing work online. 
  • Experience working in the digital marketing industry. 
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to quickly digest, rewrite and enhance niche content. 
  • Ability to speak to client experts to extract next-level insights to enhance your content
  • Experience in generating ideas and analysing data to form a content plan. 
  • Experience working across multiple client accounts, including B2B and B2C. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills. 
  • Willingness to embrace AI for internal efficiencies within the content writing process. 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of uploading content to content management systems (CMS)
  • Knowledge of SEO & GEO 
  • Experience working for an agency 
  • Knowledge of tracking content performance
